It Pays to Have a Good Driving Record
Insurance companies will run a report on your motor vehicle background. If you are found to possess sound family driving skills and/or have some boating experience, you may be eligible for an insurance discount. It also doesn't hurt to take a safety course certified by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Some insurers will also give a discount for such classes.
